It has been a solid start to the National Hunt season with several good trading opportunities over the past three days.

The champion bumper form was boosted again this weekend with QUEENS BROOK winning in Ireland, I mentioned to keep an eye on the form in the recent podcast, we have had three winners since the podcast to come out of the race.

Paul Nicholls and Harry Cobden have started the season well with nine winners for the trainer and eight for jockey over the last three days. MCFABULOUS was one I mentioned on the podcast who was strong pre race and jumped excellently to win on Friday, I also mentioned MASTER TOMMYTUCKER on the pod who was also well supported pre race and backed in in-play today, he stayed on his feet today which is certainly a positive!, he was possibly a bit too eager to get on with things, if he can calm down and concentrate on the job a bit better they have a decent horse there, but he still finished runner up to a nice animal. Several of the Nicholls horses were on our trading watch lists for good reason.

ELDORADO ALLEN ran a solid race today on chasing bow bar poughing through the final fence but it didn’t seem to faze him with the mare STORMY IRELAND finishing runner up. I would not discount her in future races especially running against her own sex.

One of several races that jumped out at me over the past week was the bumper at Ludlow on Wednesday the 7th, it is worth monitoring the form of the race over the coming weeks.

It is not too late to get involved this season, two weeks tomorrow our course returns to the hotel for the first time since lockdown, we still have a place left for the right candidate. The course will be in a safe environment with social distancing and due to this I have heavily reduced the numbers on the course. We also have three places left for November’s course online which will be run in modules in the evening again drop an email if interested in either options.
